I felt like I was doomed to struggle with my body for the rest of my life.
I literally couldn't imagine a day without intense cravings (which I usually ended up giving in to).
I thought the only way to lose weight was to punish my body with intense workouts (that I didn't enjoy) and deprive myself of all the foods I love. I eventually gave up trying, and figured "hey, I'll be overweight, but at least I can eat foods I like".
But then I had this crazy idea to try meditating for 5 minutes before every meal. I figured I'd just try it out for 30 days, and see what happens.
After only 17 days, I'd lost 13 pounds.
While still eating whatever I wanted. Even through "that week" when I usually GAIN weight.
What I noticed was, what I wanted changed. Sure, I still had some chips and sweets, but the compulsions disappeared pretty quickly. And even when thoughts of binging occurred to me, it was suddenly really easy to just say "no thanks" and put the idea out of my head. Foods that used to make me feel powerless, suddenly I couldn't even MAKE myself want them.
This is why I'm so excited to share this meditation with you; because weight loss should be this easy for everyone.
EVERYONE should know the freedom that comes with enjoying your food, feeling great in your body, and not having your brain constantly occupied with thoughts of what you'll eat (or won't eat) next.
